Nicola McDowell works as a senior tutor in the Institute of Education at Massey University, New Zealand. She is the Coordinator of the Blind and Low Vision endorsement of the joint Massey/Canterbury Specialist Teaching Programme. Nicola is currently undertaking doctoral research in education, focusing on developing an effective framework for supporting children with cerebral visual impairment. Nicola’s research interests include: supporting learners with disabilities (particularly visual impairments) to have equal access and equal opportunities for success within their educational environment.
