Dany Acosta is a thirty-year-old, nationwide mentor, motivational speaker, poet and advocate from Mexico. He struggled for years through drug addiction and homelessness until God saved his life. Three years after he received God in his life, God gave him perseverance through a traumatic life experience. In 2014, he was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, completely lost his sight, experienced a stroke and two seizures, was given three months to live, and had both his eyes removed. Despite all this, he graduated from North Shore Community College with a 3.94 GPA and was commencement speaker for the graduation ceremony. Finally, on September 29, 2019 after five and a half long years, God blessed Dany with a kidney transplant thanks to Cyrus Lavers. Dany was an Honor’s Graduate and was Commencement Speaker for Salem State University Class of 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a 3.9 GPA. He is a published poet and author. He hosts, translates, writes, and edits video on radio and television. He also hosts his own YouTube Channel “Dany Acosta Official”.
