YouDescribe is a free and easy method that enables educators and other volunteers to describe YouTube videos for viewers who are visually impaired or blind.  Recently released, the fully accessible YouDescribe iOS app provides users with convenient mobile access to these YouTube described videos.

YouTube videos are frequently used in classrooms for educational purposes. These audio described YouTube videos provide information about text, settings, facial expressions and other important visual clues so that viewers who are visually impaired or blind can better understand what is happening on the screen.

Teachers: Search the YouDescribe video list for educational videos. If you do not see what you want, describe the video yourself or better yet, work with school volunteers to describe the desired video. You can also request videos to be described on the YouDescribed website.
