There are times that I have purchased an app and found that it was not what I needed or that I no longer use that app regularly. As an educator, I have lots of educational apps for various levels of students; and depending on my caseload, I may choose to delete unused apps in order to have more available memory on my device or simply to declutter my device. However, my caseload may shift and I want to access those purchased apps again.
In iOS 11, Purchased Apps is no longer a tab at the bottom of the screen. The tabs are currently: Today, Games, Apps, Updates, and Search.
To locate your previously purchased apps
- Open the App Store
- Select the Today tab located at the bottom left side of the screen
- Select the My Accounts tab (circle with a head silhouette) located in the top right corner
- Select Purchased
- You may now have the option of My Purchases or Family Purchases. Select the desired option.
NOTE: There is currently a VoiceOver bug in iOS 11.01. During the last step (when selecting My Purchases) while running VoiceOver, the App Store crashes.
