Hadley Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired has created iFocus videos - short and easy-to-follow videos on on the accessibility features of Apple products and completing tasks using these features. There are a series of videos available on iPhone and iPads, Apple Watch, and Mac computers.

iOS Topics

The iOS videos are currently for iOS 11. For each device, the videos are broken down and organized by topics. Each topic has multiple videos demonstrating individual tasks.

  • Exploring the Device
  • Low Vision Features
  • Communication
  • Using Siri to PerformTasks
  • Web Browsing
  • Every Day Tasks
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Entertainment
  • iPhone X VoiceOver Gestures

Learn more about the accessibility of these Apple products yourself or use these videos to "flip the classroom". Teachers can assign videos for the student to watch independently and then have the student demonstrate the new skill to the teacher!

There are three additional categories of videos:

  • Technology in the Kitchen
  • Abacus (The Abacus video series has 15 lesson plans.)
  • Digital Talking Book Player

To view the videos, go to Hadley's website.
