Bookshare Tip: How to Assign Reading Lists

How can you help student access their Bookshare books?  Use Reading Lists to assign books to each student!

To add books a Reading List:

  1. Log in to your Bookshare account.
  2. In the Search box, enter the title of the desired book.
  3. Select the book title.
  4. Select "Add to Reading List".
  5. Select the correct Reading List and Select "Add".

If you do not currently have a Reading List or if you would like to create a new Reading List:

  1. Select "New".
  2. Type the name of the new Reading List.
  3. If desired, type a description of the Reading List.
  4. Share the Reading List with appropriate members.

To share a Reading List with a Member:

  1. Log in to your Bookshare account.
  2. Select "My Bookshare".
  3. Select "My Reading Lists".
  4. Select the Reading List you wish to share (or Select "Create a Reading List").
  5. Select "Members".
  6. Select "Add Members".
  7. Select the desired student(s).
  8. Select "Add selected members".

When the student logs in to Bookshare, he/she will be able to access the Reading List by selecting "My Reading Lists".
