There are 3 sessions included in this training module that demonstrate theories and best practices for teaching students with visual impairments and additional disabilities.
Participants will earn 15 ACVREP credits, 15 CTLE credits, or 15 PDP/CE credits by viewing the video presentations and lectures, and completing the assignments. 1.5 AOTA credits may also be earned.
A structure is suggested for you, through the syllabus and the eLearning environment. Plan to spend 1 week working through each module. While this is a self-paced course, the material will have the most impact if you work steadily through the outline in the order it is presented. You may complete and submit the assignments in any order.
The tutorial uses the text Keys to Educational Success: Teaching Students with Visual Impairments and Multiple Disabilities, which is available from AFB Press.
This is a web-based, self-guided professional development activity for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TVIs) Orientation & Mobility Specialists, teachers of students with moderate/severe disabilities, teachers of deafblind students, & related service personnel.
All sales on self-paced courses are final!
