There are 4 sessions included in this self-guided tutorial that provide: strategies involved in conducting an assessment as well as in choosing the right assistive technology tool for the learner, best practices to increase access to technology, an in-depth view of how the iPad can be used to provide vision stimulation to young children with varying degrees of visual impairment, and best practices for teaching basic communication using low and high-tech assistive technology.
Participants will earn 4.5 ACVREP credits, 4.5 CTLE credits, or 4.5 PDPs by viewing 4 video presentations and taking an online quiz. By registering for ACVREP, CTLE credits, or Continuing Education credits, you will be provided with a self-paced tutorial using video clips and other resources related to this topic, as well as an online test to assess your knowledge.
