Betsy McGinnity

Betsy McGinnity recently retired after 36 years at Perkins School for the Blind, where she had  overseen the operations of the Training & Educational Resources Program.
 
McGinnity spent several years working as a teacher of students with deafblindness and severe disabilities in public and state schools before starting her career at Perkins in 1980 as coordinator of vocational services in the Deafblind Program. For the next two decades McGinnity worked with students and families to help students transition from being in school to living and working as adults  in their communities.
 
She received her M.Ed in special education at the University of Washington in Seattle.
