What type of credit can I earn?
We offer a variety of different types of credit, depending on the activity. Types of credit include:
- Graduate Credits
- OSPI CE Credits
- Continuing Education Credit (CEUs)
- Professional Development Points (PDPs)
- ACVREP Credits
- Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) Credits
- AOTA Credits
- ASHA Credits

How can I earn credit?
There are different ways to earn credit, including face-to-face training, online classes, blended classes and sharing activities on our education microsites. The following are activities that have opportunities to earn credit:
Online classes are instructor-led, collaborative learning experiences with a cohort of professionals with similar needs and interests. They are asynchronous, meaning that they can be done at any time that is convenient for the learner. You can earn different types of credit, depending upon the individual offering. Self-paced online tutorials combine the guidance of Perkins eLearning online classes with the flexibility of on-demand web content to create a professional development experience focused on each participant's needs and interests. There is no time limit to complete a Perkins Self-Paced Online Tutorial. You can also earn Continuing Education Credits, ACVREP Credits or State Recertification Credits.
The Perkins Training Center offers training on the Perkins campus in Watertown, MA, as well as locations around the northeast. Some of these trainings have an online component in addition to face-to-face training.
