I attended the CVI Mentorship Program in Pennsylvania in 2010-2011 and since then I have have worked diligently at raising awareness, integrity of services, and accurate diagnoses for many children with CVI. I have educated parents, TVI's , administrators, and therapists regarding the CVI characteristics and the CVI Range. I am skilled at writing strong CVI goals and strategies, and am able to include CVI language into and IEP to make it appropriate for the student with CVI.
As a member of the EI Eval Team for my county, I am training the evaluators to look for infants who present with risk factors for CVI in order to identify these babies for appropriate services. I work in both EI as well as school age and actively train the teams to implement CVI strageies for their infant/student. I provide on-going training and mentorship to TVI's, classroom teachers, and therapists in surrounding counties.
I am committed to continuing to serve children with CVI
