I have worked with many children with CVI and their families throughout my 5 1/2 years at the BEGIN Program at the Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta, GA.  All of the children I have worked with have been between birth and 5 years old.  I have mainly worked with children either in Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the CVI Range; however, I do currently work with three children in Phase 3.  Most of my experience with CVI has been working one-on-one with children and their families and modeling/explaining CVI strategies so parents could do the work at home.  I have also worked with children on the higher end of the CVI range in a pre-k classroom setting at the BEGIN Program with other children with ocular visual impairments.  I have been a presenter of CVI and ocular visual impairment presentations to master's level students at Georgia State University in the early childhood special education department.
