I am currently an itinerant Teacher Consultant for Students with Visual Impairments at the Oakland Schools ISD in Oakland County, Michigan. Our caseloads are broken out by districts, of which we have 28 public school districts and 27 public school academies in the county. I currently support two of the largest center-based programs for our county, in addition to another local school district. Both of these programs support students with severe multiple impairments. There are many students who have a medical diagnosis of CVI, and others are suspected of having a CVI, without formal diagnosis. This is where I have experience with conducting the CVI Range, supporting classroom teachers and parents, providing after school PD for staff and providing monthly building consultations.
