I have worked at the WESC Foundation for blind & visually impaired young people for 8 years. For 5 years I have worked with the young people with CVI. I have scored them on the CVI Range, trained staff, liaised with parents, adapted the environments but also created a whole school approach to CVI. In 2019 I helped to train a member of staff about CVI and how to score the CVI Range and we also set up an external service where parents with children with CVI (including babies and toddlers) from different areas of the U.K. are being assisted in helping their children to develop the use of their functional vision. I have presented information to the parents and they have also received a report to help in supporting their child. Alongside a work colleague I also helped to develop a parent information leaflet which gives information for the parents in a succint and easy to read format. In 2019 I also attended the CVI Society Conference & continually research about CVI online .
