Experience: As Project Coordinator at the New York Deaf-Blind Collaborative (NY state's OSEP-funded deaf-blind technical assistance project), I have facilitated extensive training and coaching on topics related to CVI identification, assessment, and intervention, to schools, agencies, hospital staff, families, and itinerant related service providers (TVIs, TOD/HHs, etc.). I have extensive experience in conducting and coaching CVI Range assessment for a wide range of students in term of age, additional disabilities including deaf-blindness, and current visual functioning as measured on the CVI Range. I have extensive experience in working with teams to use results of CVI Range assessments for IEP development, development of CVI Schedules and other functional intervention plans. As a former classroom teacher and TVI, I have also had direct experience working with students who have CVI and implementing asssessment-guided intervention to achieve measurable progress in visual functioning.
