Participants will learn techniques on managing behavior with students who are visually impaired with multiple disabilities.

In this series, participants will learn techniques on managing behavior with students who are visually impaired with multiple disabilities. Among the topics that will be covered are an overview of the shifts in thinking about behavior intervention, triggers, and reinforcement strategies. Benefits from good sleeping habits, assessment tools, and techniques to address sensory dysfunction will also be discussed.

Participants will view 4 videos, totaling 3 hours in length. An online assessment is provided for participants to complete.

After successfully completing these requirements, participants will receive a certificate of attendance and a letter of confirmation of 3.0 credits earned.

This is a web-based, self-guided professional development activity for TVIs, VRTs, O&Ms, Parents, Teachers of the Deafblind or Severely Impaired, and Rehabilitation Specialists.
