Hi Emily
I noticed on this page where it says Register Now, that the credits are 30 PDP's. On the registration page , it says 40 professional developments cedits.
Which is correct?

Hi Donna,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I am seeing 30 credits within the registration page and on the previous page.  Would you be able to send a screenshot of the 40 credits?  I just want to investigate this a little further.

Hello :
I want to know if with this course I can learn to help my son who is deaf, ASD, has CHARGE syndrome, and multiple disabilities or if only will focus for Students Who Are Visually Impaired.

thank you, Jeanette

Hi Jeannette,

Thank you for your email.  I spoke with the instructor and she stated ""As long as her son is developmentally in the Sensorimotor Stage (age 0-2), I think it could be helpful. "  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Hello, I am very interested in taking this course for continuing education hours, as I work with this particular population on a day to day basis. I am somewhat concerned about the details of time requirements. For example, must I commit to being on line during a specific time frame, or might I view lectures, post on the discussion group, etc. when I have the time available given some travel plans and my work load? Many thanks. Patti Rosen

Hi Patti,

In our instructor-led online classes, students work through the assignments and deadlines as defined in their syllabus, and are not locked into a class date, time, or place. Interactions between class groups of diverse specialties, settings, and locations expand the discussion far beyond the traditional campus-based experience.

Our online courses provide active participation, moderated discussion, graded weekly assignments and quizzes, and most importantly, practical application of the material into your daily practice. While you may not have assignments due every day of a workshop, you should expect to log into the learning site daily for news and discussion.

We provide a free practice workshop which demonstrates many of the elements of a typical course. You will find that online elearning provides a collaborative environment, where life experience is a valuable resource.

Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions document
http://www.perkinselearning.org/workshops/mod/page/view.php?id=1321
for more information about our online workshops.

We look forward to learning with you!

I have registered for this course and am trying to purchase the 1st book (Calendars...). I can't seem to find it for less than $230. Is there a specific place anyone has bought this book for a reasonable price? Thanks.

Hi Heather - the publisher, TSBVI, lists Calendars for Students with Multiple Impairments Including Deafblindness at $35.

Do you happen to know when this course might be offered again? I'm just now learning of it's existence and obviously missed this session! Thanks in advance!
