Assistant Research Professor, University of Maryland
Degree: Ph.D.
Experience:
My professional training and certifications are in early intervention and visual impairment. I have worked directly with children with CVI in early intervention programs, preschool programs, and school aged programs. I have conducted assessments using the CVI Range for 10 years. In addition to working with children, I have trained child specific teams, school system employees, vision teachers, and families in in-service and pre-service settings. I trained as a CVI mentor in the MD/DC Deafblind project with Dr. Roman for 9 years. Trainings included multi-day workshops, webinars, and direct CVI Range assessments under the direction of Dr. Roman.
