Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Early Intervention Specialist (EIS)
Degree: M.S./M.Sc
Experience:
As a member of the Children and Young Adult Services Department, I provide early intervention services in children's homes & on-site.  I am the occupational therapist for our on-site preschool.  Approximately half of the children on my caseload have a diagnosis of CVI. For these children, I conduct The CVI Range, provide program planning and parent/staff collaboration. For school-aged children with a CVI diagnosis, I am part of a team that can conduct an assessment using The CVI Range.  Our reports include recommendations for home and school (including IEP recommendations) based on the current CVI characteristics.  We include information of how the characteristics may move toward resolution.  I collaborate with parents/caregivers and other professionals through consultation, co-treating, and presentations.
I am available to:
  • Provide ongoing consultation and technical assistance to an educational team working with a child with CVI
  • Provide one time evaluation services and consultation
  • Provide training to an educational team
  • Provide consultation and support to family
  • I am willing to travel
