Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Degree: M.Ed.
Experience:
I am in my 12th year as a TVI and my 17th year in the field of special education as a teacher. Since becoming certified as a TVI, I have participated in workshops, online courses, attended conferences, multi-day workshops, and provided in-services on CVI. I have provided services to students with CVI in early intervention, preschool, and school age programs. Administering The CVI Range, participating in program planning that incorporates modifications/accommodations for a student’s CVI, and providing training on CVI to staff and parents has become an integral part of my job each year as the number of students with CVI on my caseload has increased each year.
I am available to:
  • Provide ongoing, direct service to a child with CVI within 50 miles of my home address
  • Provide ongoing consultation and technical assistance to an educational team working with a child with CVI
  • Provide one time evaluation services and consultation
  • Provide training to an educational team
  • Provide consultation and support to family
  • I am willing to travel
